Senior Quantity Surveyor Job at Social Value Portal Ltd (South East London (SE2))

Job Description

This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

Job Responsibility

Preparing Applications for Payment to the client
Proactively identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
Manage a small team of Assistant Quantity Surveyors/Quantity Surveyors ensuring development of these members
Produce accurate CVRs and provide detail financial reports and forecasts
Manage and administer the contract including Early Warnings Notifications, Variations including agreement with the client
Cost Control and Subcontractor Management

Requirements

Experience within the Water/Utilities industry and a experience on a framework based contract is desirable
Ability to use a Works Management System to create commercial reports (AfPs/Forecast)
Previous experience in leading a small team is desirable
Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation and communication skills
A pro-active, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and part of a team
Full Driving Licence

Nice to have
