Job Description:

We are hiring a Senior Quality Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, correctness, and resilience of a modern, cloud-based software platform. This role goes far beyond checking boxes or executing scripts — you’ll be embedded within engineering teams, influencing how systems are designed, built, tested, and released. You’ll take a systems-level view of quality, working across application layers, data pipelines, and infrastructure to surface risk early and prevent failures before they reach production. This is a role for someone who thrives on ownership, autonomy, and impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as a quality owner across services, APIs, data stores, and user-facing experiences
  • Influence architecture and design decisions by identifying risk patterns early in the development lifecycle
  • Partner with engineers to raise reliability standards rather than reacting after defects appear
  • Build and evolve automated testing approaches that scale with the platform
  • Create and maintain test coverage across multiple layers — from service logic to integration paths
  • Use automation strategically to reduce regressions and increase release confidence
  • Validate data correctness, consistency, and performance within relational databases
  • Investigate edge cases and failure modes that only appear under real-world conditions
  • Verify cloud-based deployments, environment configurations, and system integrations
  • Investigate complex production issues alongside engineering teams
  • Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to long-term corrective actions
  • Continuously refine quality practices based on real incidents and system behavior

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior or lead-level QA or quality engineering role
  • Strong experience working in cloud-hosted environments
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience validating data integrity and performance
  • Hands-on experience with modern automated testing frameworks (UI and API level)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
  • Deep understanding of Agile delivery and software lifecycle practices
  • Willingness to work fully on-site in Peachtree Corners, GA
  • Experience testing large, interconnected systems rather than isolated applications
  • Background in platforms that process high volumes of data or transactions
  • Ability to write small utilities or scripts to support testing and diagnostics
  • Exposure to performance or load testing methodologies
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools to enhance testing, observability, or automation
