Job Responsibility:

Lead the shift-left movement—bake quality into development from day one
teach & inspire teams to write testable, high-quality code and implement automation smartly
be the quality evangelist in Telstra—mentor teams, drive best practices, and set the standard for test automation
architect rock-solid test automation frameworks that scale across microservices, APIs, and cloud-based platforms
collaborate, innovate, and challenge the norm
optimize CI/CD pipelines with intelligent automation that reduces manual intervention
dive deep into performance, security, and reliability testing
improve test efficiency by eliminating flaky tests and ensuring reliable automation across platforms
stay on top of emerging tech, introducing innovative testing approaches to make quality engineering smarter

Requirements:

8 to 14 years of strong working experience in Software Automation Testing
hands-on expert in test automation (Java, Selenium, Playwrite, Cucumber, RestAssured, API/Microservice testing)
strong knowledge of TDD, BDD, and CI/CD pipelines
designed and built scalable automation frameworks
passion for mentoring and coaching teams
strong database testing skills, performance testing expertise, and understanding of infrastructure testing
ability to collaborate with leadership, developers, and product teams
deep experience in DevOps, cloud platforms (Azure preferably), and microservices contract testing

Nice to have:

helped build a quality-first culture in previous roles
experience in implementing any AI-driven test automation to enhance productivity
worked in telecom (OSS/BSS)
solid grasp of security testing and validating AI results
dabbled in AI-driven test automation
experience in performance and load testing of applications and api’s at super crazy volumes
knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible
