Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced System Tester / QA Engineer to support the delivery of complex software development initiatives under the Jupiter program. The project focuses on systems managing Position, Risk, and Profit & Loss (P&L) within a financial services environment. This role requires end-to-end QA ownership across a suite of interconnected system components, ensuring high-quality releases through a combination of manual and automated testing approaches.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and drive the complete QA lifecycle for assigned system components
  • Analyze business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test strategies
  • Design, execute, and maintain: Functional test cases
  • Design, execute, and maintain: Non-functional test scenarios
  • Design, execute, and maintain: Regression test suites
  • Perform both manual and automated testing based on project needs
  • Participate in production support activities to strengthen domain knowledge and system understanding
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Business, and Support teams to ensure quality delivery
  • Support UAT cycles and assist in defect triaging and resolution tracking
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of relevant QA / System Testing experience
  • Experience testing complex, multi-component technical systems
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing theory, and best practices
  • Strong system thinking and analytical approach
  • Excellent verbal, written, and numerical communication skills
  • Technical background with basic working knowledge of: SQL (queries, data validation)
  • Technical background with basic working knowledge of: Linux/Unix environments

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the financial services domain (Risk, P&L, Trading systems preferred)
  • Basic programming knowledge
  • Production support and UAT support experience
  • Hands-on experience with exploratory testing
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks
