Interpret the suitability of products and processes against the designated specification requirements at scheduled and ad-hoc intervals
Responsible for advanced NDT technical review, verification of inspection technique suitability, independent assessment of contractor inspection outputs, and support to weld quality decisions during project execution
Review and verify PAUT/TOFD scan plans, scanning coverage, calibration setup, sensitivity, reporting basis, and technique applicability against the governing code, project specification, and inspection scope
Perform technical oversight of PAUT applications on carbon steel welds and dissimilar / clad weld configurations, including verification of scan strategy, beam coverage, calibration approach, and examination limitations associated with clad or weld overlay surfaces
Technically evaluate and validate indication detection, characterization, and sizing results generated through advanced NDT methods and assess compliance against the applicable acceptance criteria and support other NDT techniques
Provides inspection related recommendations on applicable projects activities
Close working relationship with assigned inspection personnel
Coordination with multiple stakeholders while maintaining inspection integrity and independence
Engage with external Contractors to perform PAUT/TOFD and advance NDT techniques and perform defect sizing, characterisation
Review and technically assess contractor-issued NDT reports, interpretation records, images, and supporting inspection data
Review and verify NDT procedures, technique sheets, personnel certifications, calibration records, equipment validity, and qualification records
Ensure full traceability between weld maps, line/component identification, NDT reports, repair history, final inspection status, and supporting quality records
Interpret advance NDT data and evaluate indications against the applicable acceptance criteria (ASME, API, Project specs.) and prepare accurate inspection reports
Continuously monitor the quality of works in progress at site and at the EPC Contractor fabrication workshop
Prepare a daily report summarising the salient inspection points and quality concerns
