Job Description:

I’m currently working with a well-established financial services business that’s looking to hire a Senior QA Engineer to join their growing development team.They’ve built a modern lending platform using .NET, GraphQL, React.js, and AWS, and with new features shipping regularly, they need someone who can ensure releases are stable, reliable, and production-ready. This is a hands-on manual testing role focused on functional, exploratory, and regression testing. You’ll be working closely with senior developers and the BA, testing APIs, validating data in SQL/PostgreSQL, and identifying risks before release.This role is all about ownership, strong judgement, and being confident enough to challenge a release if something doesn’t look right.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure releases are stable, reliable, and production-ready
  • Focus on functional, exploratory, and regression testing
  • Work closely with senior developers and the BA
  • Test APIs
  • Validate data in SQL/PostgreSQL
  • Identify risks before release
  • Own and manage testing workload
  • Challenge a release if something doesn't look right

Requirements:

  • Strong QA experience in a commercial software environment
  • Manual testing experience (functional, exploratory, regression)
  • Experience testing APIs (REST / GraphQL)
  • Comfortable querying databases using SQL
  • Strong understanding of modern web applications
  • Someone who can manage their own testing workload and priorities
  • A confident communicator who works well with developers and stakeholders
