Job Description:

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. HSBC is currently seeking an experienced professional to join as Senior Consultant Specialist. The role involves developing automation solutions, data products, and ensuring technical standards while collaborating with stakeholders and team members. Key qualifications include expertise in Python, PySpark, Java, and SpringBoot, with experience in microservices architecture.

Job Responsibility:

Identify the opportunity for automation and design/build the end to end solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to understand and gather requirements to develop the best automation solutions and data products
Work with POD lead, the PO, Solution & Platform Architects to identify changes required, create & agree necessary stories
Independently come up with implementation options for complex requirements
Coordinate and embed technical standards and help other team members to gain knowledge on Python development.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of software development experience, including min 7 year of Python programming experience
Solid experience in Python (3.x), with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc.
Have used Python/pyspark libraries such as pandas,NumPy
Have mindset of design thinking and ability to draw out the solution design
Experience of streaming data pipeline using PySpark, Apache Beam frameworks
Experience of working on beam runner like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, GC dataflow etc.
Strong hands-on experience in Java 8+
Strong hands-on experience in Springboot framework and microservice architecture
Hands on to JUNIT5 test case implementation
Exposure to any Reporting/Analytics tool like Qliksense/Qlikview
Experience in automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery CICD pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
Knowledge of Microservices based architecture and patterns.
