Job Description:

The Credit Risk Technology team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President (VP) - Python Developer to join our growing technology team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable solutions using Python, with a focus on development in Pre-Settlement Risk impact analysis and data lineage areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a good understanding of financial services.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Python-based applications and systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Write clean, efficient, well-documented code
Develop and execute unit and integration tests
Optimize application performance and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Mentor junior developers
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and security policies

Requirements:

Proven experience with Python and frameworks like Flask / FastAPI
Proficient with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
Experience using libraries like Pandas and NumPy
Understands object-oriented programming, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and version control (e.g., GitHub)
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and think analytically
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
Familiarity with GenAI tools like CoPilot is a plus
