Job Description:

The Senior Python Spark Developer- VP is a senior level position responsible for the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs. The objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities with the Technology team.

Job Responsibility:

partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions
identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
resolve high-impact problems/projects via in-depth analysis of complex business and system processes
develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop solutions
serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts
allocate work as necessary
assess risk in business decisions while demonstrating regard for firm reputation and compliance

Requirements:

8-12 years of experience with software building and platform engineering
extensive development expertise in building highly scaled and performant software platforms for data computation and processing
strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems
strong analytical and logical skills
hands-on experience in writing SQL queries
experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket, Git etc
experience working with the banking domain like pricing, risk etc is plus
CFA/FRM certification is plus
extensive experience system analysis and programming of software applications
experience in managing and implementing successful projects
subject matter expert (SME) in at least one area of applications development
ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
demonstrated leadership and project management skills
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Nice to have:

experience working with banking domain like pricing, risk etc
CFA/FRM certification
