Job Description:

Bemana is searching for a Senior Pump Rig Operator in the greater Denver, CO area. Our client is a leading provider of pump systems and on-site maintenance and repair services for customers in the commercial, industrial, and municipal market sectors. This role is responsible for the removal, repair, and installation of various well and high service pumps. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in pump installation and repair and a strong understanding of pumps, motors, wells, electricity, and various tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for removal, repair, and installation including high service and well pumps
  • Responsible for pump repair, installation and troubleshooting
  • Understand and troubleshoot electrical single phase-three phase 360 volt and rigs at least 10 ton and larger
  • Manage a crew of 2 helpers and maintain a safe working environment
  • Job preparation including assembling parts, supplies and materials
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing company issued equipment
  • Responsible for well rehabilitation efforts using chemicals and mechanical means
  • Administrative work including reports, driving logs, time sheets

Requirements:

  • Must have working understanding of pumps, motors, wells, electricity, controls, piping, rigging, chemicals and well rehabilitation tools
  • Valid state driver’s license and Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Must be extremely safety conscious and understand hazards and dangers associated with the job
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain company equipment including pump rig, service truck, welder, generator, hand tools, power tools, grinders, drills, chain wrenches and come along
  • Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to problem-solve when faced with obstacles
  • Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. pull, and kneel
  • Requires working with equipment that vibrates and near moving mechanical parts
  • Must be comfortable working outside in various temperatures and weather conditions

  • Perform sizing calculations and/or numerical simulations for fluid systems, including cryogenic propellants storage, conditioning, and distribution systems, high-pressure gas distribution and pressurization systems, etc.
  • Select and procure suitable fluid hardware, including tanks, pumps, heat-exchangers, valves, pressure regulators, safety-valves, instrumentation, etc.
  • Prepare technical documentation, such as PFDs and P&IDs, hardware lists, datasheets, technical notes etc. that serve as a basis for manufacturing planning and execution
  • Lead and contribute to system design reviews and risk assessments
  • Act as a technical point of contact and subject matter expert for the project and operation teams, consulting on fluid system questions and decisions
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to structuring and expanding knowledge in the team with guidelines, checklists, processes, presentations, etc.
