Atelier Ten is hiring a Senior Public Health Engineer for our London office. We’re looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to balance multiple deadlines, work well independently, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the team. You’ll contribute specialist expertise to support other teams. You’ll ensure high-quality, timely project delivery in line with industry benchmarks and internal standards, serving as a key liaison between Atelier Ten and our clients and collaborators. You’ll also mentor and coordinate junior staff, providing clear frameworks, setting standards, and ensuring cohesive delivery across the team.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver public health engineering design across projects of varying size and complexity
Prepare and review calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical reports aligned with client briefs
Maintain strong technical accuracy, quality standards, and support project coordination
Contribute to quality assurance, technical reviews, and project risk mitigation
Support client communication, fee proposals, and scope management
Produce project references, presentations, and materials for industry engagement
Commit to CPD and demonstrate strong technical expertise with awareness of related disciplines
Uphold Atelier Ten’s sustainability led design approach and deliver high performance, cost effective solutions
Mentor and guide junior and graduate engineers
Liaise confidently with clients, architects, and design teams
Manage project budgets and understand commercial and contractual frameworks
Coordinate junior engineers and CAD staff to meet programmes and deliverables
Maintain clear oversight of project progress, risks, and next steps
Requirements:
BSc/MSc in Building Services Engineering or related discipline
Chartered or working toward Chartership is highly desirable
Strong technical expertise in Public Health Engineering, including water services, foul and surface water drainage, and rainwater systems
Proven experience delivering projects across commercial, residential, and mixed use developments
Demonstrated understanding of sustainable, low carbon and innovative public health design strategies
Excellent client facing and communication skills, with the ability to solve problems effectively and confidently
Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong technical capability and a commitment to high quality design
