This is a meaningful opportunity for a passionate Senior Counsellor or Psychologist to deliver trauma-informed care, lead therapeutic interventions, and make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable people.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver holistic, trauma-informed counselling to adults, children, and young people
  • Conduct clinical assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions that promote healing and resilience
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Counsellors, Family Violence Practitioners, and Homelessness Practitioners
  • Support clients in developing coping strategies, self-esteem, and long-term wellbeing
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment

Requirements

  • A Bachelor degree (or higher) in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing counselling within family violence, trauma, or related settings
  • Strong understanding of the impacts of trauma and family violence on adults and children
  • Proficiency in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention delivery
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and documentation skills
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment checks (NDIS, Police, WWCC, Medical)

Nice to have

Familiarity with MARAMIS and FVISS/CISS frameworks
