Job Description:

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a local authority in the North West who are looking to hire a senior criminal prosecutions and licensing lawyer for an interim 3 month rolling contract to cover a permanent recruitment drive.

Job Responsibility:

  • The majority of the caseload will encompass criminal prosecutions and as such court attendance would be required on a regular basis in person
  • There will be elements of broad regulatory and licensing matters within the overall caseload

Requirements:

  • Be experienced in prosecutions matters inclusive of: trading standards, blue badges, environmental protection
  • Have exposure to areas such as licensing and regulatory
  • Have prior experience working within a local authority setting
  • Be experienced conducting their own advocacy autonomously in court
  • Have prior experience supervising junior solicitors/paralegals
  • Candidates with prior experience supervising/managing junior members of staff would be preferred
