Generali CEE Holding, one of the major insurance groups in the region, is looking for suitable candidate for the position of Senior Property Underwriter for its regional corporate business underwriting team. This position represents a great opportunity for experienced Underwriters, who are ready to assume a very interesting role combining high level of knowledge of property underwriting of large corporate & commercial property portfolio for the CEE region and a matrix manager of heads of country property underwriters. The position is also responsible for managing the relationship towards the Group head office and ensuring local and regional business needs are well balanced with the strategy and priorities of the Group.
Job Responsibility:
Create & coordinate effective underwriting strategy for Property Line of Business in Central and Eastern Europe region
Be the Regional counterpart of GC&C Central Team based in Milan and Group Head office based in Trieste for the specific Line of Business
Be the underwriting/referral point for Property in the region and manage the underwriting performance for the LoB
Manage, control and develop underwriting governance through the regional organization
Have the final Underwriting responsibility on the business and capacity deployed in excess of local companies’ underwriting authority and up to the personal Underwriting Authority
Manage the underwriting performance of the regional books
Develop and maintain the required underwriting and pricing capabilities and tools
Manage the loss prevention value proposition at local level
Train and develop technical skills and nourish talents within the region
Deploy regional Underwriting guidelines in compliance with GC&C and Group Policies
Requirements:
University degree (min. Bc)
Min. 5 years of relevant job experience (excellence in underwriting knowledge & business acumen)
Very high communication and networking skills
Strong, mature personality with managerial experience
Very good leadership behaviors, confidence and independency in cooperation towards subordinates
MS Office knowledge (especially Excel and Power Point)
Fluent English - C1 level required
Nice to have:
specific UW trainings and/or insurance qualifications (e.g. CII Diploma)
