Job Description:

The role sits within the national residential litigation team and focuses on residential possession work for landlords. Responsibilities include providing legal advice to private landlord and insurance clients, recovering possession of residential properties across several tenancy types, and managing defended actions such as disrepair claims. The position requires strong organisational, communication, and client care skills, along with proficiency in relevant applications and a positive attitude.

  • Manage defended actions including disrepair claims.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' previous experience in residential possession work (ideally for landlords)
  • Detailed knowledge of the procedures and legal requirements for recovering possession of properties let on tenancies
  • Law Degree, LPC or completed/working towards CILEX qualification preferable but not essential
  • Excellent client care skills
  • Self-confidence and ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to grasp things quickly and easily
  • Enthusiastic, energetic with a positive, can do attitude
  • Good working knowledge of various applications – word, excel, outlook, case management systems
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in correspondence and documentation
  • Experience managing high volume work with tight turnaround times
  • Flexibility to adapt to change and remain calm under pressure
