Job Responsibility:

  • Underwriting new business and renewals in line with defined underwriting guidelines, budgets, and business plans
  • Representing and promoting the company to brokers, internal stakeholders, and external clients
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key brokers and clients through proactive engagement and external visits
  • Contributing to the development of products to enhance client retention and attract new business
  • Mentoring, training, and coaching junior colleagues to build a high-performing underwriting team

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the insurance market, particularly in multiline property and casualty underwriting
  • ACII qualification preferred
  • Strong technical and business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of corporate underwriting, the insurance market, and competitors
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with brokers and clients
  • Leadership, mentoring, and people development experience is preferred but not essential
