Senior Property Accountant

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties in accordance with GAAP
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of outstanding items
• Oversee general ledger activity for property accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and other period-end close tasks
• Analyze financial results and provide clear explanations of trends, discrepancies, and account activity to internal stakeholders
• Maintain organized accounting records and support audit, compliance, and reporting requirements with accurate documentation
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting procedures and improve the efficiency of recurring financial processes
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Utilize property accounting systems such as Yardi, when applicable, to support reporting, reconciliations, and account maintenance

• At least 3 years of property accounting experience with direct responsibility for financial reporting and reconciliations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of GAAP and its application to property accounting activities
• Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and completing balance sheet reconciliations
• Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and proactively improve existing processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
