Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Property Accountant to oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial and residential properties. This role collaborates closely with property management, leasing, and finance teams to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare monthly rent invoices, manage collections, late fees, and tenant communications
Maintain tenant ledgers, track sales, and calculate percentage rents
Support move-in/move-out accounting and property management inquiries
Process AP invoices, reconcile AR, bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX tracking, and year-end preparation
Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Participate in ad hoc financial projects and reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
5+ years accounting experience, commercial real estate experience preferred
Proficiency in property management software (AppFolio, Yardi)
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
