Job Description:

Join a dynamic and high-performing team where you’ll play a key role in driving whole-of-department initiatives and supporting strategic priorities. As a Senior Project Officer, you will lead and coordinate projects, provide high-level advice, and build strong working relationships across the department and with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive climate initiatives: Lead project management and provide secretariat support for the Climate Ready Government Working Group, contributing to the delivery of sustainability initiatives across the department
  • Support executive and corporate priorities: Deliver high-quality analysis and reporting, including preparing insights on complaints data for the Executive Leadership Team
  • Contribute to grant program delivery: Provide administrative and coordination support to grant programs
  • Provide trusted advice and coordination: Work with a high degree of autonomy to manage competing priorities, develop work programs, and provide sound advice on project, policy, and administrative matters
  • Champion best practice project management: Apply established project management frameworks and methodologies to deliver outcomes on time and to a high standard
