A highly respected multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Central London is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager within their specialist healthcare and life sciences division. This Senior Project Manager will lead complex NHS refurbishments, private healthcare facilities and laboratory environments. The Senior Project Manager will act as the primary client interface, overseeing high-value schemes within live clinical settings. The Senior Project Manager will operate across full project lifecycles, from strategic brief development and business case support through to construction delivery and handover. The Senior Project Manager will lead procurement under NEC and JCT forms of contract, often via two-stage tender routes or public sector frameworks. Project values typically range between £10m-£60m.
Job Responsibility:
Lead complex NHS refurbishments, private healthcare facilities and laboratory environments
Act as the primary client interface
Oversee high-value schemes within live clinical settings
Operate across full project lifecycles from strategic brief development and business case support through to construction delivery and handover
Lead procurement under NEC and JCT forms of contract
Manage multidisciplinary design teams
Oversee compliance with HTM and HBN standards
Control programme delivery in live environments
Responsible for stakeholder coordination across estates teams, clinical leads and external contractors
Requirements:
Construction-related degree
Chartered (MRICS, MCIOB or MAPM)
Proven track record delivering healthcare or life sciences schemes within a consultancy environment
Prior construction consultancy experience as a Project Manager
Strong NEC contract knowledge
Public sector framework experience (highly desirable)
