Job Description

Carriera is partnering with a well-established construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Project Manager for their Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to work across a strong pipeline of industrial, logistics projects within a collaborative and growing team. The role will see you managing projects from feasibility through to completion, taking ownership across delivery, stakeholder management, commercial performance and programme management on a range of live operational schemes.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead projects through all stages from initial brief and feasibility through to completion and handover
  • Manage industrial and logistics projects across live operational environments
  • Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality expectations
  • Prepare and manage project programmes, progress reports and key stage reporting throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Chair project meetings, manage stakeholder communication and provide clear updates to clients and senior teams
  • Support procurement, tender and contractor appointment processes, including managing contractor queries during bidding stages
  • Administer NEC and JCT contracts, managing commercial, contractual and risk-related matters effectively
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for further business development

Requirements

  • Experience delivering industrial, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing projects from inception through to completion
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts and contract administration
  • Degree qualified within Construction Project Management or a related construction discipline

Nice to have

  • Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous
  • MRICS, MAPM or working towards chartership would be beneficial
