Job Description:

Are you a seasoned Project Management professional looking to lead high-impact initiatives within the utilities sector? Our Calgary client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a 12-month contract to drive the delivery of complex custom application roadmaps and electricity transmission infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team where you can apply your expertise in hybrid-agile methodologies to influence key outcomes and navigate a sophisticated regulatory landscape.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define project scope with customers and ensure all technical and business requirements are captured
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, resource requirements, and risk management plans
  • Direct all work activities to ensure deliverables meet rigorous quality standards and regulatory rules
  • Maintain accurate and real-time project status data regarding schedules, budgets, and outcomes
  • Manage Azure DevOps Boards while acting in both Product Manager and Scrum Master capacities
  • Negotiate and finalize statements of work while managing external vendor relationships and contracts
  • Facilitate project checkpoint gates and provide detailed progress reports to the Program Director

Requirements:

  • Eight or more years of hands-on experience managing complex IT and business projects
  • Active PMP or PRINCE2 certification combined with a relevant University degree
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps Boards and the full Microsoft Office Suite for project tracking
  • Proven background in budget planning and resource allocation across multiple parallel workstreams
  • Strong history of working within regulated industries such as utilities or electricity transmission
