Job Description:

This role will effectively manage the life cycle of single or multiple projects from inception to completion while simultaneously fostering client relationships to ensure company sustainability. The senior project manager will act as the liaison between the corporate office and the project to which the chosen candidate is assigned. The role will include project management functions as well as communication, tracking and scheduling responsibilities for the following types of projects: Helical Piles; Helical Anchors; Helical Pile Design, Repair and Construction; Foundations for Gas Pipelines, Laucher/Receivers, Regen Boilers; Deep Foundations; Heavy Highway and Road Construction; Processing and Management of On-site/Off-site Materials

Job Responsibility:

  • Actively foster and develop new customer/supplier relationships
  • Proactively communicate with customers to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Participate in industry related functions to market the company’s capabilities and capacity
  • Focus on developing new and current relationships in the Oil and Gas markets
  • Responsible for engineering design coordination, preliminary design, cost estimates proposal preparation, contract negotiations, cost analysis, project management and any sub-contractor coordination for each assigned project
  • Perform project estimating and prepare project reports and time lines
  • Develop and manage production scheduling for assigned projects
  • Prepare and negotiate all contracts, sub contracts and subsequent change orders
  • Monitor job costs and production to ensure proposed project time line is achieved
  • Coordinate projects needs with site superintendent and company management
  • Coordinate production and scheduling of active steps of the projects life cycle
  • Manage the equipment necessary for scope of each assigned project
  • Ensures the timely submission of weekly and monthly reports to Division Manager and other stakeholders
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of project management experience in the heavy/civil construction industry
  • 10+ years of experience working or supporting heavy/civil construction projects and activities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Ability to proficiently utilize the programs with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to proficiently utilize AutoCAD or similar design software
  • Ability to travel extensively and for extended periods of time
  • Ability to be a highly motivated, self-starter
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Ability to adhere to schedules
  • Ability to assess and quickly solve problems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Possess sound technical knowledge
  • Possess commercial instincts
  • Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to walk, step, climb, and otherwise move from one location on the job site to another
  • Ability to physically get into and get out of equipment through the use of vertical mounted ladders up to and including 10’ or more in height
  • Ability to visually see worksite environment and observe equipment operations
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to complete repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work
  • Ability to climb vertical ladders. Working at elevated heights
  • Ability to lift up to and including fifty (50) lb. objects as required
  • Ability to carry up to and including fifty (50) lb. objects as required
  • Ability to adapt to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to the elements
  • Ability to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
  • Valid state issued driver’s license required

Nice to have:

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited college or university with a concentration in Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study is preferred
