This is a brilliant opportunity to lead some of the most critical infrastructure projects in the UK’s energy transition at a pivotal moment in our growth. You’ll have real ownership from day one, taking the lead on complex, high-value programmes that directly shape how EV charging scales nationally.
Job Responsibility
Own End-to-End Project Delivery - You’ll oversee the entire pipeline of high-power DC charging depot infrastructure deployment from site survey through design and delivery to final handover
Manage Contracts with Confidence - You’ll act as the main administrator for NEC short-form contracts, handling instructions, compensation events, and payment assessments
Coordinate Grid Connections - you’ll work closely with DNOs and IDNOs to secure capacity at scale, managing applications, technical approvals, and delivery of network upgrades
Lead Contractor and Supplier Delivery - you’ll appoint and manage civil contractors, electrical installers, and hardware partners, ensuring alignment on scope, programme, cost, and quality
Drive Programme Performance - you’ll build and maintain detailed project plans, balancing timelines, dependencies, and cost loading to keep delivery on track
Own Financial Outcomes - you’ll manage budgets, procurement, and forecasting, providing clear reporting on cost, value, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure Safety and Quality Standards - you’ll champion HSE best practice across all sites, ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and internal quality expectations
Drive Stakeholder Alignment - You’ll work closely with internal teams, clients, DNOs, contractors, and delivery partners to keep projects moving, solve issues quickly, and ensure everyone stays aligned on scope, timelines, and outcomes
Manage Risk and Remove Delivery Blockers-You’ll identify project risks early, from grid delays to site conditions and supply chain constraints, and put clear mitigation plans in place to protect programme, cost, and quality
