The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the overall success or failure of a project. Responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget, and with acceptable deliverables to the maintenance team and client. This role may involve individual contributions or leading a team to achieve the set KPIs.
Job Responsibility:
Achieve the company’s KPIs and communicate expected deliverables to the team, comprising project engineers and supervisors
Manage, organise, and plan daily and weekly tasks for the team in an effective and efficient manner
Attend kick-off meetings and project progress meetings with clients and other stakeholders
Request, review, and approve quotations from contractors based on the defined scope of work and in reference to the framework EPC contract
Review and approve contractors’ invoice claims, control project CAPEX, and take corrective actions to ensure the project remains within budget
Liaise with contractors to develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Obtain clearances from relevant authorities, government agencies, and clients, ensuring all documentation complies with ISO SOP requirements
Provide regular project updates to stakeholders on work progress through the company’s project management tools
Manage contracts with contractors by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the project lifecycle
Manage expectations of internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to foster a cohesive working environment
Maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders (clients, authorities, and third-party inspectors) to ensure smooth project execution
Identify potential safety risks and implement mitigation strategies
Work closely with the safety team to ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements
Monitor project performance to identify areas for improvement
Conduct end-of-project evaluations and prepare a final project report
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of work experience in full spectrum of project management in public, government, and/or commercial projects, preferably Solar, Renewables, or Infrastructure/construction related sector
Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
