We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a high-profile, 3-year major transformation program dedicated to replacing and upgrading our client's legacy scheduling and timetabling systems. This enterprise wide overhaul requires a resilient leader with deep domain expertise in the Higher Education sector. You will be responsible for navigating complex academic structures, managing intense stakeholder relationships, and successfully deploying a modern, enterprise scale timetabling solution.
Job Responsibility
End-to-End Program Delivery: Lead the 3-year road map to decommission legacy scheduling systems and implement a modern enterprise timetabling and workload solution
Academic Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex institutional structures and lead intense stakeholder engagement with senior academic and administrative staff to drive consensus and adoption
Change & Risk Management: Manage the significant business readiness and change management activities required to alter institutional scheduling behaviours
Vendor & Team Leadership: Manage relationships with enterprise software vendors and lead a cross-functional project team of business analysts, developers, and data specialists
Requirements
Must possess extensive experience within the Higher Education sector and a proven track record delivering Enterprise Timetabling solutions
Higher Education Domain Expertise: A deep, comprehensive understanding of university operations, academic calendars, workload allocation, and the student experience. Applications without Higher Education experience will not be considered
Enterprise Timetabling Systems: Proven experience successfully delivering major timetabling or scheduling projects (e.g., implementing alternatives to platforms like Allocate+). This is a mandatory requirement
High Resilience & Influence: Demonstrated ability to remain resilient in high-pressure environments, manage competing institutional priorities, and influence senior academic stakeholders
Large-Scale Project Governance: Track record of managing multi-year, multi-million dollar budgets, risk registers, and complex project governance structures
