Senior Project Manager – Construction (Variations Focus). We’re currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong construction background and proven expertise in managing project variations to support a high-profile programme in Hampshire. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on site, offering the opportunity to work on complex, fast-paced projects where change management and stakeholder coordination are critical.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the end-to-end management of project variations, ensuring changes are assessed, documented, and delivered effectively
Collaborate with commercial, design, and delivery teams to evaluate scope changes, cost impacts, and timelines
Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, contractors, and consultants
Ensure all variations are aligned with contractual obligations and minimise risk exposure
Drive programme performance, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
Produce clear reporting on variation status, costs, and project impacts
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the construction sector
Strong track record managing variations / change control on complex projects
Excellent understanding of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT)
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate commercial discussions confidently
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Available to attend site in Hampshire 3 days per week

Background in working with main contractors or client-side organisations
