An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects from early planning and design through to completion and commissioning. This role is suited to a senior delivery professional with strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering large-scale programmes within highly regulated and operational environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality and governance standards. Operating within a live operational environment, you will manage critical stakeholder relationships and coordinate delivery activities across multiple projects to achieve strategic programme outcomes.
Job Responsibility
Lead and monitor delivery performance across programme schedule, cost, risk, interfaces, contracts and change control
Develop and maintain project execution and delivery plans aligned with governance frameworks and delivery standards
Maintain strong working relationships with senior programme and operational stakeholders to ensure effective alignment throughout delivery
Provide oversight and governance to ensure project objectives are achieved
Lead and manage a team of Project Managers responsible for delivery across multiple projects
Provide technical, commercial and contractual guidance to support project delivery and performance
Develop resource plans and ensure effective allocation of project teams to meet delivery requirements
Prepare and present programme performance reporting and escalate issues appropriately
Support continuous improvement and development across the project delivery function
Lead project coordination activities, managing interfaces across design, construction and operational delivery phases
Maintain clear accountability through governance tools and RACI frameworks
Coordinate technical teams, consultants and external service providers to achieve delivery objectives
Chair design review meetings and support formal design acceptance processes
Produce monthly reporting and maintain project risk registers
Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and delivery standards
Manage change control and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders
Administer programme activities in line with NEC contract principles and contractual obligations
Support collaborative working and maintain effective relationships across all delivery partners
Manage change and compensation event processes to protect programme outcomes
Ensure contractual communications and governance requirements are maintained
Requirements
Minimum 15 years’ experience within construction, infrastructure or major capital delivery programmes
Experience delivering projects within aviation, transport, utilities or comparable sectors
Strong understanding of working within operational environments with significant safety and stakeholder considerations
