We are seeking a high-caliber Senior IT Project Manager to join the Application Portfolio Modernization (APM) team in Brampton. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex application migration and modernization projects, ensuring the company’s software portfolio remains in a technical and functional state of good repair. You will be responsible for navigating the entire project lifecycle—from assessment and remediation to replacement or retirement—while adhering to strict corporate standards for security, privacy, and architecture.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and manage the full lifecycle of large, complex IT projects under the APM program to meet scope, quality, budget, and schedule objectives
Lead multidisciplinary teams and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources
Facilitate seamless collaboration between Business Analysts (requirements) and Platform Teams (build) to ensure technical feasibility and alignment
Develop and maintain rigorous project plans, resource allocations, and schedules using MS Project
Manage the operational elements and logistics for all IT projects within the APM portfolio to ensure corporate timeframe requirements are met
Work closely with Architecture, Security, Privacy, and Operations teams to ensure all modernized applications meet current enterprise standards
Proactively identify legacy system dependencies and technical roadblocks, implementing robust mitigation strategies to avoid project delays
Lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts, ensuring business units are technically and operationally prepared for the transition from legacy tools to modern platforms
Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and secure formal sign-offs from business owners
Requirements:
10+ years of IT Project Management experience, specifically leading Application Migration and Modernization programs in large enterprise or public sector environments
Proven track record in assessing application condition levels and executing upgrade, replacement, or retirement strategies
Deep understanding of how to align project delivery with Security, Privacy, and Enterprise Architecture standards
Expert proficiency in MS Project and other enterprise project management software
Exceptional ability to translate complex technical progress and roadblocks into business-relevant updates for executive leadership
University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
