Job Description:

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of strategic IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. This role requires a dynamic leader who can motivate teams, manage vendor relationships, and drive projects to completion with efficiency and precision. Based in Houston, Texas, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives while supporting the development of entry-level project managers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and execute comprehensive project strategies, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management
  • Lead IT-related projects and integrations, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and business goals
  • Oversee vendor lifecycle management, including selection, staffing, execution, and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project priorities, estimate costs, and secure funding through business cases
  • Engage IT resource managers and system owners to ensure adequate project resourcing
  • Address competing priorities with effective negotiation and communication skills
  • Provide mentorship and skill development opportunities to entry-level project managers
  • Enhance internal project and portfolio management practices to improve organizational efficiency
  • Manage project budgets for capital initiatives ranging from $500K to $10M
  • Coordinate team communications and deliver high-quality project presentations to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
  • At least 8 years of experience in project management with a proven track record of leading large Oil and Gas IT projects exceeding $1 million
  • PMP certification or equivalent credentials in project management
  • Expertise in systems integration, including familiarity with SAP and SAP SuccessFactors HCM in an Oil and Gas environment
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with certifications such as Scrum Master or Product Owner being advantageous

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Project Management is preferred
  • Experience in the energy, utility, or industrial operations sector is a plus
