Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Leader for a 11 month contract in Toronto. This is an onsite role. Rate: $609.86 - $644.49.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides project management on large scale, complex, high profile and high risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives
  • Ensures project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance with OPS project management methodologies and frameworks

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager directly responsible for leading all aspects of large, complex Application Development initiatives
  • Demonstrated hands on experience leading and managing agile projects, preferably following Scrum methodology
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing OPS governance Cluster and Corporate governance approval processes such as project gating, architecture governance points, digital first assessment
  • Experience managing privacy and security deliverables
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Agile development concepts and methodologies
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Experience running scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives
  • Demonstrated experience managing external and internal stakeholders and project interdependencies
  • Strong technical and business aptitude
  • Persistent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (clear & concise)
  • Self-motivated leader with strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Visio, and Planview
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver within extremely tight deadlines

Nice to have:

  • Project rescue/project triage experience is an asset
  • Previous government experience is an asset
