We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager IT to lead and oversee complex projects and initiatives within our organization in Southern California. This role requires a strong background in IT project management, including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, risks, and resources effectively. As a long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in delivering business solutions and ensuring projects align with organizational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Develop comprehensive project plans, assign team responsibilities, and monitor daily progress to ensure project milestones are met
Identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate any issues related to project functionality, timelines, or quality
Coordinate communication across departments to manage project scope, budget, risk, and resources
Oversee one or more high-complexity, cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Learn and understand business domains at a high level to deliver effective project and business solutions
Manage medium to large-scale projects with moderate to high complexity, maintaining cost, schedule, and quality standards
Monitor project budgets and schedules, providing regular status reports and addressing any discrepancies or challenges
Implement project plans using Agile or Waterfall methodologies for platforms such as CCaaS and SaaS
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges
Collaborate with technical and architecture teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Project Management certification or completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred
Minimum of 10-12 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years managing complex projects
Advanced knowledge of project budgeting, including tracking and managing costs effectively
Strong skills in implementing project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring resource optimization
Expertise in conducting risk assessments and creating mitigation plans
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and their application in IT projects
Excellent communication and decision-making skills to work effectively with technical and architectural teams
