Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager IT to oversee complex projects related to warehouse management systems and ensure their successful delivery. This long-term contract position is based in Southern California and requires onsite work four days a week. The role demands exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a strong grasp of project management methodologies to drive progress and meet organizational goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects, focusing on warehouse management systems like Manhattan
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth collaboration and communication throughout project lifecycles
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor project scope, budget, and schedules, addressing any changes or risks proactively
  • Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders, ensuring systems align with compliance regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Present project updates, risks, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders with clear and impactful communication
  • Oversee system processes and ensure adherence to compliance standards and best practices
  • Analyze project performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to address challenges and drive progress
  • Stay updated on advancements in warehouse management technologies to apply innovative solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience managing projects involving warehouse management systems, preferably Manhattan
  • Strong familiarity with AS400 operating systems and the Aldon Change Management tool
  • Solid understanding of communication protocols in AS400 systems, such as handheld scanners and voice technologies
  • Certification in Project Management or completed recognized project management training is preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • Experience in supply chain processes, such as inventory management and distribution center operations, is highly desirable
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage teams and engage stakeholders effectively
