Job Description

The Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager will coordinate initiatives across multiple product teams. They will utilize agile, as well as conventional principles and methodologies to ensure successful project implementation. This position will ensure all project teams understand task dependencies, timelines and project implementation strategies. This position will also serve to remove impediments, provide communication across teams and management regarding project status, risks and accomplishments. Takes ownership of and is accountable for a portfolio of products, features, components, or solutions in a team leadership role and associated performance metrics. Engage directly with customers to ensure delivery of a high-quality, robust, and scalable product on a regular basis.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive team efficiencies through adhering to established standards and principles
  • Understand waterfall methodology, SCRUM and Kanban frameworks and demonstrate the ability to apply across complex projects
  • Facilitate project team meetings, daily stand-up, iteration planning, pilot/demo, and iteration retrospective/lessons learned meetings to drive successful project implementation and improvement
  • Identify critical path tasks and schedule appropriately to meet project goals
  • Help leadership to arrange product backlogs to maximize value, cost-cutting initiatives and strategic direction
  • Help project teams to avoid and remove obstacles
  • Communicate risks, issues, achievements, improvements etc to the appropriate audience
  • Assess the team's maturity and provide guidance on reaching higher levels of project delivery, at a sustainable and comfortable pace

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of overall IT (or related area) work
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
  • Agile methodologies experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership capability and managerial skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated good judgment with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to forge strong partnerships with vendors, business partners, and internal customers
