Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent construction projects for the Rolls-Royce site in Filton, Bristol
Ensure projects are delivered to meet JLL & Rolls-Royce’s standards in regard to health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation
Ensure compliance with MS18 and CSO6 Rolls-Royce standards
Manage the projects in accordance with the requirements of the NEC3 Framework Contract and ensure projects are delivered to the agreed contract programme
Provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery teams (including sub-contractors and suppliers), promoting behavioural safety improvements
Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established
Play an active lead in the production and risk management of quotations and estimates
Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships
Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and trainees
Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced
Support project opportunities to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance
Liaise with the Rolls-Royce Project Managers to ensure compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan
Ensure highest standards of quality are maintained in accordance with programme delivery - complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and Rolls-Royce Standards
Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free
Ensure that post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information is delivered within the contracted timescales
Requirements:
Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of a Senior Project Manager within the building/construction/building service industries
Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses
Experience of working in a live manufacturing environment
Experience in the use of NEC3 Contracts
Experience of managing health and safety procedures along with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations across multiple sites
Experience of multiple stakeholder experience
Ability to translate client needs into detailed plans
Detailed understanding of the RIBA design stages
Demonstrable experience of managing Mechanical and/or Electrical Designs and Installations
Demonstrable pre-construction experience
Ability to communicate the plan of work daily & weekly to multiple stakeholders
Able to read/interpret Arch/Struct/MEP drawings
Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates
Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements
City & Guilds /NVQ (or equivalent) construction related qualification
SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS Card, First Aid
Excellent interpersonal skills, with clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
High level organisational ability along with time management skills in order to drive and meet deadlines
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken. Able to demonstrate initiative and problem solve
Commitment to providing a high-quality service demonstrating reliability, conscientiousness and flexibility
Nice to have:
Competent user of IT software packages including MS Office, Fieldview or similar tablet-based quality assurance software
