Senior Project Manager - Construction

• Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent construction projects for the Rolls-Royce site in Filton, Bristol
• Ensure projects are delivered to meet JLL & Rolls-Royce’s standards in regard to health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation
• Ensure compliance with MS18 and CSO6 Rolls-Royce standards
• Manage the projects in accordance with the requirements of the NEC3 Framework Contract and ensure projects are delivered to the agreed contract programme
• Provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery teams (including sub-contractors and suppliers), promoting behavioural safety improvements
• Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established
• Play an active lead in the production and risk management of quotations and estimates
• Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships
• Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and trainees
• Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced
• Support project opportunities to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance
• Liaise with the Rolls-Royce Project Managers to ensure compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan
• Ensure highest standards of quality are maintained in accordance with programme delivery - complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and Rolls-Royce Standards
• Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free
• Ensure that post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information is delivered within the contracted timescales

• Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of a Senior Project Manager within the building/construction/building service industries
• Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses
• Experience of working in a live manufacturing environment
• Experience in the use of NEC3 Contracts
• Experience of managing health and safety procedures along with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations across multiple sites
• Experience of multiple stakeholder experience
• Ability to translate client needs into detailed plans
• Detailed understanding of the RIBA design stages
• Demonstrable experience of managing Mechanical and/or Electrical Designs and Installations
• Demonstrable pre-construction experience
• Ability to communicate the plan of work daily & weekly to multiple stakeholders
• Able to read/interpret Arch/Struct/MEP drawings
• Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates
• Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements
• City & Guilds /NVQ (or equivalent) construction related qualification
• SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS Card, First Aid
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
• High level organisational ability along with time management skills in order to drive and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken. Able to demonstrate initiative and problem solve
