A Birmingham-based construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of work for a charitable and community-focused client. This Senior Project Manager role would suit an experienced, client-facing Senior Project Manager who is confident managing projects from inception through to completion within a professional consultancy environment. The successful Senior Project Manager will join a supportive Birmingham team, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal colleagues. This Senior Project Manager position is ideal for someone who can take ownership of projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide clear leadership across programme, cost, quality, risk, and delivery. The Senior Project Manager will need to be organised, personable, and capable of representing the consultancy professionally at all stages. You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
Job Responsibility:
Leading construction projects across the full project lifecycle, including client briefing, feasibility, procurement, programme management, risk management, consultant coordination, contractor management, project reporting, and handover
Chairing project meetings, managing action trackers, coordinating design and delivery teams, monitoring progress against programme, and ensuring projects are delivered in line with the client’s objectives
Supporting senior leadership with client management, internal reporting, and the successful delivery of wider project work across Birmingham and the Midlands
Requirements:
A degree in Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline
Strong experience working within a construction consultancy
Experience delivering built environment projects from inception to completion
Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong knowledge of project programmes, risk management, reporting, procurement, and contract administration
Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement routes
A proactive, professional, and team-focused approach
MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB, or working towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
