Within the Group, you will join AXA EssentiALL, AXA’s inclusive insurance business with social impact. Our purpose is to make insurance more accessible, affordable and attractive to low-to-middle income customers who remain vulnerable to unforeseen events. Within this Department, you will be supporting the development of inclusive insurance across our European Markets (DE, BE, CH, SP, IT, UK, IE). In mature economies, over a quarter of the population is suffering from increasing financial vulnerabilities that jeopardize their economic resilience and health. AXA EssentiALL is therefore developing tailored-made solutions and adaptation of our core offerings to better fit the needs of modest income households.

Job Responsibility

  • Inclusive insurance strategy steering
  • Determine priority customer segments for AXA EssentiALL and research their needs
  • Co-define local priorities and roadmaps in line with the European inclusive insurance strategy
  • Help identify the right talents to create / reinforce local inclusive insurance teams
  • Organize governance with CEOs & Excom Sponsors to track strategy delivery and business performance
  • Innovation and new market opportunities
  • Identify business opportunities and drive commercial development, both via B2B2C partnerships and more traditional channels where relevant, to take the new offers to market
  • Develop/redesign products and services to match customers’ needs through inclusive criteria
  • Ensuring investments, operations, IT and other enablers are in place with the support of the central team’s IT/Ops/data team
  • Thought leadership and capacity building
  • Steering thought leadership projects and impact studies to position AXA in the policy debates around financial inclusion in the countries
  • Support capacity-building and cross-fertilization amongst AXA EU markets to accelerate inclusive insurance
  • Ensuring replication of successes and sharing learnings from failures with other AXA entities

Requirements

  • 7-10 years’ experience in an insurance company, preferably in strategic development, partnerships, or product innovation roles
  • Such experience in a large European insurer a strong plus
  • Proven experience in insurance business in at least one of our European geographies (UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland or France)
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a drive to make a meaningful impact in the insurance industry with a real desire to challenge the way insurance is traditionally conducted
  • Strong organization, presentation and conviction skills to build trusted relationships and achieve objectives with C-Suite leaders both internally and externally
  • Confidence to work independently and manage multiple tasks/ engagements
  • Team player with both tact and expertise to break silos between teams, navigate competing interests and credibly drive change in a large organization such as AXA
  • Faculty to navigate multi-cultural environments with vastly different ways of working across countries and entities
  • Genuine interest in financial inclusion and business with social impact
  • Fluency in English a must-have, second language at professional level required (German, Spanish and/or Italian)
  • Ability to travel in Europe (short-term travels of a couple of nights)
