This pipeline project is the largest privately led, government-participated transnational infrastructure project ever undertaken in East Africa. The Job Holder is responsible for supporting the CFR Package Manager in delivering the Carbon Footprint Reduction (CFR) package, enabling a minimum 30% CO? emission reduction at start?up.
Job Responsibility:
Act as CFR Package Company Representative in the manager’s absence, and with contract engineer support, procure, monitor and verify vendor/contractor progress and costs with Cost Control
Participate in dispute settlements with legal, insurance and finance
Monitor and approve deliverables from the EPS Contractor, vendors and construction contractors
With functional delegation, lead and manage CFR contracts and coordinate a multidisciplinary technical team
Liaise with all contract and technical specialists involved in CFR contractual or technical development
Interface with other project entities (EITS, Engineering, Operations, HSEQ, Environment & Societal, Commercial & Legal)
Provide timely reporting to the CFR Package Manager
Participate in meetings with partners, authorities and stakeholders
Recommend CFR organizational arrangements as the project develops
Assist package leadership with scheduling, progress and reporting activities in coordination with relevant parties (EPS Contractor, Main Logistic Contract team, etc.)
Assist the Contracts Lead with change management (schedule impact, extensions of time, re?baseline, etc.)
Provide inputs to the Integrated Planning & Reporting Lead for consolidation of all package data
Implement procedures, tools and means ensuring efficient scheduling, progress control and reporting within the CFR package
Provide schedule analyses and simulations as required
Consolidate productivity/efficiency metrics and establish schedule trends using contractor schedules and Quantity Surveyor actuals
Review contractor reports for accuracy and compliance with EACOP, partners and authorities
Report progress, opportunities and concerns to the Package Manager
Gather and share lessons learned on scheduling, progress control and reporting
Perform any additional duties required by the position
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry on similar large?scale projects and environments
Detailed knowledge of the CFR package and experience in at least one key discipline (Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Construction Supervision)
Degree: BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in a recognized Engineering discipline
Registered or licensed professional engineer
10–20 years of Oil & Gas experience in large?scale projects
Perfect knowledge of Primavera required
Ability to work in a multi?cultural business environment
