Service Stream’s Utilities division are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Quoted Works) to join our growing company. You will provide technical leadership for multi-disciplinary (mechanical, electrical and civil) quoted works delivered with our Yarra Valley Water Maintenance Services contract and be responsible for scoping, estimating, planning, and supporting the delivery of minor capital works, corrective projects and asset upgrades.
Job Responsibility
Support minor capital works, corrective projects, and asset upgrades
Lead scoping, estimating and planning of quoted works across water and wastewater assets
Prepare clear technical scopes, cost estimates, schedules and supporting documentation
Conduct site assessments to identify risks, constraints and constructability requirements
Work closely with the client, subcontractors and field teams to ensure accurate and efficient delivery
Provide engineering guidance during delivery, commissioning, and close-out of works
Ensure all works meet safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements
Drive consistency in engineering standards, documentation and technical assurance
Contribute to continuous improvement and value-for-money outcomes for the contract
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and act as a key technical interface for the Mechanical and Electrical team
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related Engineering discipline (required)
Proven experience delivering M&E projects in water, wastewater, utilities, or heavy infrastructure
Strong background in scoping, estimating, and planning minor capital works or quoted works
Experience working within maintenance-services, asset-management, or contractor environments
Solid understanding of water authority standards, regulatory requirements, and safety obligations
Demonstrated ability to assess site conditions, identify risks, and develop practical engineering solutions
Experience coordinating subcontractors, field teams, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple concurrent work packages
