Senior Project Engineer

• Provide technical leadership by identifying, developing, and executing capital projects for the factory
• Maintain visibility to the design process
• Ensure adherence to all established key components and project deliverables
• Directly manage overall project execution, including construction and commissioning
• Coordinate with the client, as well as various other groups, inside and outside of the organization
• Preliminary Project Development including Charter Development
• Assist in development of pre-project approval documents
• Monitor design progress and deliverables
• Receive design details from design team
• Select contractors and contracting methods
• Project Execution & Facilitation
• Direct and execute installation, construction, and commissioning of assigned projects
• Manage adherence to project scope and secure approvals for all changes
• Manage and control project budget
• Manage and maintain project milestone schedules
• Manage data collection and feedback process
• Monitor processes for compliance with quality and GMP requirements
• Provide construction management and factory startup assistance
• Evaluate, select, and issue contracts for construction firms
• Provide self-directed project management
• Business Support
• Monitor work output from project team members
• Provide technical support to factory operations
• Support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM)
• Safety
• Ensure project is executed with an absolute intolerance for unsafe situations
• Assess impact of change in relation to product safety/quality, people safety, and the environment

• Bachelor’s degree within engineering or equivalent field
• Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience
• 3-5 years experience managing capital projects with increasing responsibility and complexity in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
• Experience using SAP and/or Microsoft Project preferred
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to analyze data
• Ability to using problem solving techniques to resolve issues and implement change
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to schedule resources effectively so continuous improvement is not sacrificed for day-to-day results
