Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical support and leadership for construction team(s) for the Western Florida area from pre-construction through final acceptance of minor and major transportation projects
  • Ensure projects adhere to contract documents, budget constraints, and schedules
  • Implement sound document controls and internal quality assurance measures
  • Lead communications between project stakeholders
  • Participate in progress meetings
  • Collaborate with regional leadership and support corporate functions
  • Guide regional group of Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) teams in execution of Department of Transportation and municipal projects
  • Lead construction infrastructure projects and deliver direction in implementation of corporate procedures and policies
  • Serve as project executive on multiple projects and provide guidance to project staff
  • Perform monthly CPM schedule review and approval
  • Communicate directly with owner representatives and project contractor community to strategize complex operations and resolve contract challenges
  • Manage administrative staff in preparation of all documentation for final estimate submission

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental, or a related engineering discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum ten years of construction inspection experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record

  • Identify potential risks that may arise during projects’ commissioning phases and formulate mitigation measures
  • Analyse project commissioning and FAT processes and provide suggestions gaps for improvement to establish a more streamlined process for future projects
