We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to join our Resources team supporting long-term electrical construction and project works on Barrow Island. This is a leadership role suited to someone who can confidently manage technical delivery, coordinate project resources, support commercial outcomes, and provide strong guidance to engineers and supervisors across the electrical scope. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you will take ownership of assigned project outcomes and play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, in line with quality expectations, and to client requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Lead assigned electrical project scopes from planning through to completion
Support the Project Manager with project delivery, commercial performance, and resource planning
Coordinate electrical engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
Drive compliance with contract requirements, technical standards, quality expectations, and site procedures
Monitor budget, progress, risk, opportunities, and productivity across assigned scopes
Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to project engineers and site-based teams
Review and manage technical queries, scope changes, work packs, planning inputs, and execution strategies
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Identify and implement practical solutions to complex project and technical issues
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure HSEQ obligations are met across all activities
Contribute to forecasting, reporting, programme reviews, and project performance discussions
Support subcontractor and supplier engagement, performance, and coordination
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
Solid experience in an electrical project delivery role within resources, industrial, oil and gas, utilities, or related sectors
Previous experience in a senior or lead project engineering capacity
Strong understanding of electrical construction, project controls, and commercial drivers
Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple work fronts in a remote project environment
Construction White Card
Current driver’s licence
Valid Australian working rights
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
