Job Description

We are currently looking for a Project Development Manager to join our M Renewables team based in Bucharest, Romania, to strengthen and expand our activities in this mature and dynamic renewable energy market.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support investments in Romania’s mature renewable energy market
  • Manage local development activities and contribute to the overall development strategy in Eastern Europe
  • Lead or assist transactions for solar PV, wind, and storage projects in Romania and neighboring countries
  • Manage full transaction life-cycles, from origination to financing
  • Coordinate negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective deal structuring
  • Stay updated on renewable energy market dynamics, regulations, and trends in Romania and the region
  • Leverage market insights for informed decision-making and project success
  • Oversee asset delivery, collaborating closely with internal teams and external advisors
  • Guide teams and manage activities to achieve development objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical, Economics, Business, or related fields
  • 3-5 years of experience in Renewable Energy, preferably in project development and acquisitions/investments, with exposure to electricity and renewable energy markets
  • Proven success in originating, negotiating, and executing utility-scale renewable energy acquisitions, particularly solar PV
  • Strong understanding of Romania’s mature renewable energy market and regulatory framework
  • Ability to identify valuable opportunities and effectively communicate risks to management
  • Experience in a multinational environment, coordinating with teams across different time zones
  • Fluent Romanian and English speaker
