Backed by prominent international investors, the company focuses on developing and delivering utility-scale solar projects, spanning both greenfield development and the acquisition of semi-developed assets. With a substantial pipeline and clear European expansion strategy, the organisation is entering a new phase of accelerated growth. As part of this expansion, they are strengthening their Dutch leadership structure to support long-term development and portfolio scale-up. The Role: As Senior Project Developer, you will take ownership of a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects across the Netherlands, overseeing the full lifecycle from early-stage origination through to ready-to-build. In addition to project delivery, this role carries leadership and growth responsibility within the Dutch platform.
Job Responsibility:
Leading site identification and origination strategy across targeted regions
Taking ownership of land acquisition, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory processes
Managing relationships with municipalities, regulatory authorities, landowners, and grid operators
Assessing grid capacity and coordinating cable routing feasibility
Overseeing financial feasibility assessments in collaboration with internal finance and legal teams
Managing and mentoring junior developers as the team expands
Contributing to overall Dutch growth strategy, pipeline expansion, and regional development planning
Requirements:
Evidence of strong experience developing large-scale solar projects within the Netherlands
Proven ability to drive projects through permitting to ready-to-build stage
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with commercial accountability
Solid understanding of grid processes and early-stage project economics
Demonstrated leadership capability or mentoring experience
Fluent Dutch (C1+) and professional English
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable operating with autonomy
