Research, plans, and designs building projects. This position guides others in learning, practicing, and demonstrating the skills and knowledge of the Architectural profession specifically related to design and design development. Use expertise and creativity to develop project design solutions and plans for client. Works independently and has little oversight form the Principal-in Charge (PIC).
Job Responsibility:
Works independently to initiate and create project designs and plans for conceptual, schematic and design development documents for multiple projects of varying sizes
Interacts with (PIC) and clients regarding project design
Prepares and leads design presentations to clients and or review agencies by utilizing drawings, renderings, physical and computer-generated models and narratives or coordinating team members to carry out presentation tasks
Generates conceptual building programs in conjunction with the PIC and/or Client
Creates clear graphic presentations that communicates the design intent
Collaborates and partners with clients to understand their needs and achieve balanced financial outcomes for the company and client
Establishing and driving design process with OZ design teams and or practice areas to achieve extraordinary design outcomes for our clients
Monitors project goals and objectives to ensure client's expectations are met
Guides others in learning, practicing and demonstrating the skills/knowledge of the design industry
Engages in firm marketing and business development efforts
Create continuity throughout the project design phases by having design check-ins at each phase. Work with architectural staff to develop appropriate details
Requirements:
Bachelors of Architecture (5-year professional degree preferred), Master of Architecture or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Licensed Architect or non-licensed designer with fifteen (15) or more years of architectural experience
Skills in Revit modeling, SketchUp or other software intended to explore and communicate design intent and hand sketching preferred
