The Senior Project Delivery (SPDE) role exists to manage the end-to-end delivery of site capital projects for our Hellman’s Mayonnaise factory in Chicago. The projects will be based on a wide range of safety, quality, infrastructure, savings, and equipment improvements across many technologies and functional areas including process, packaging, utilities and land/buildings. SPDE will contribute in ongoing development and delivery of site investment masterplan and provide technical support to the day to day and reliability activities.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of site capital projects
Contribute in ongoing development and delivery of site investment masterplan
Provide technical support to the day to day and reliability activities
Organized and detail oriented to deliver projects respective safety, product quality, project timing, and cost
Management of improvement projects in a fast-moving environment with many stakeholders
Responsible for cost estimating, analyzing options, building business cases, critiquing designs, managing construction, installation, commissioning, and handover with minimal supervision
Lead other activities in our safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs
Be a site expert on food processing, packaging, and energy and utilities management
Leads the standardization and development of the plant masterplan for packaging, process, grounds, and utilities
Technical resource to the category engineering team for new products and re-stages (innovation and renovation), and a resource for factory continuous improvement programs
Participates in cross-plant improvement teams
Develop strong partnership with plant manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering and union workforce
Supports root cause analysis for both manufacturing and reliability teams
Bring new Ways of Working to the Engineering community
Execute projects by delivering the best Value without compromising any Values
On Time In Full (OTIF) end to end delivery of multiple capital projects (typical value $0.1m - 2 Million per project) adhering to Unilever project management standards and ensuring safety as our number one priority
Requirements:
BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
3+ Years of Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment
End-to-end project management/engineering, maintenance, or continuous improvement experience with food processing and/or utilities systems in manufacturing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
along with the ability to negotiate
Nice to have:
First-hand experience delivering major capital projects ($2+ million) within FMCG environment
5+ Years of Project Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment
