The Senior Project Controls Specialist leads project controls processes and consults with the project management team to ensure client satisfaction. Presents schedule and budget status reports and analysis of these deliverables to project management team and client and will support all aspects of project controls and reporting, including, project change management, cost control, risk management, progress measurement, schedule development and schedule control.
Job Responsibility:
Perform project set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software
Input data, maintain logs, run reports and analysis in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools
Create and manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Develop, implement, and maintain effective and accurate scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts
Follow and track project execution plans
Approve Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for proper coding
Input and document changes to cost reports or forecasts and provide analysis
Assist with upstream and downstream change orders
Assist with the development of a cash flow
Assist in the development and analysis of various levels of schedules
Apply logic ties within the schedule
Perform resource loading of a schedule
Coordinate project schedules and the development of scheduling reports
Retrieve, review and distribute pre-programmed scheduling reports
Updates and documents schedule progress
Develop and maintain an earned value management system
Understanding and verification of progress measurement
Develop and maintain progress curves
Assist with material takeoffs
Assist quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables
Leads project risk management activities to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks
Assist with field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
7 years direct project controls experience
Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating and document control
Proficient with Microsoft Office
OSHA 10-hour safety certification Ability to obtain
Nice to have:
Experience with Oracle Primavera P6
Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface those construction schedules with engineering and procurement activities
