Job Description:

A high-end firm in Chicago has created a new Senior Project Accountant position to support its expansion. The role involves providing financial information, preparing payment requests, reviewing budgets, and ensuring accuracy in construction-related projects. The company offers top compensation, higher bonus structures, work-from-home flexibility, and strong growth opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

Will support project teams with timely, accurate and meaningful financial information.
Responsible for preparation of monthly payment requests, coordination of all subcontractors change orders, payments, contracts and waivers/affidavits.
Review project budget and cost for accuracy.
Analyze budget variances and potential fee changes.
Assist in positive cash flow while meeting accounting standards and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
2+ years of related experience or equivalent.
Experience in construction industry is preferred.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have a strong technical aptitude.
Knowledge of construction/accounting-related software a plus.
CMiC experience is preferred.
Construction/Development experience a plus.
