Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to support the Information Technology team in Hazelwood, Missouri! This role will support the Aerospace Composite Center (ACC). The Aerospace Composite Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs. We are seeking a skilled information and application developer to join our team supporting the diverse Information Technology ecosystem within the ACC domain. This role is a critical enabler of production work supporting several of Boeing’s key defense products. As a Programmer Analyst, you will design, develop, test, implement, document, and support enterprise computing applications, with a strong focus on MRP/ERP systems, SQL/PL/SQL, and Java-based solutions. You will lead and perform analysis of end-user processes, define application requirements, and design application architecture that integrates application software, databases, and delivery subsystems. The ideal candidate is technically strong, customer-focused, and demonstrates excellence in documentation and mentoring.
Job Responsibility
Design, program, test, implement, document, and maintain computing applications and software systems supporting business operations
Lead analysis of end-user processes to define requirements, functional specs, and system behaviors
Produce application architecture designs including integration of application software components, databases (Oracle preferred), delivery subsystems and interfaces (APIs/file-based integrations preferred)
Develop and support MRP/ERP applications, including troubleshooting and ongoing enhancements
Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL and stored procedures (Oracle PL/SQL preferred)
Define, map, validate, and execute configuration changes, ensuring traceability and minimal disruption
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex programming and architecture issues, including performance and security concerns
Recommend improvements and drive upgrades to maintain system functionality, performance, and reliability
Create clear technical and functional documentation
mentor peers and contribute to team best practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)
Strong SQL skills, including experience with stored procedures (Oracle PL/SQL preferred)
Experience with development and support of MRP/ERP systems
Experience defining, mapping, and executing configuration changes in enterprise applications
Experience conducting customer requirements analysis and translating into system design/architecture
5+ years' experience Java development experience
Demonstrated ability to produce strong technical documentation
Nice to have
Experience with Manufacturing Quality Systems (QMS)
Experience with Workforce Management and/or Time & Attendance application
Oracle expertise, including PL/SQL (beyond basic stored procedures)
Experience with API-based and file-based integrations (design, implementation, support)
Effectively mentor others
Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated enterprise environments
