Job Description

The Senior Programme Manager role exists within Delivery function of Vodafone Business Technology Solutions (VBTS). Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, the Senior Programme Manager is responsible for owning a complex delivery programme through the phases of project lifecycle, from initial opportunity through to successful handover into business-as-usual operations, with a focus on meeting programme commitments including early revenue, through strong leadership and pragmatism. The role requires close collaboration with other functional teams and customer throughout the project lifecycle to: 1) Ensure adequate Definition of Scope, Cost, and Schedule; 2) Establish Reasonable Baselines; 3) Identify and Manage Risk; and 4) Track, Monitor, and Report Project Performance. This role should make valuable recommendations that drive project performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Project Controls execution support: implement/execute the cost and schedule management program for assigned project(s)
  • Support planning efforts at various stages, facilitate development of cost estimates and budgets, and establish reasonable cost and schedule baselines
  • Change Management / Forecasting: Implement change management practices and appropriately capture associated cost and schedule activities
  • Reporting: Develop dashboards to communicate cost and schedule performance to teams in real time
  • Implement a standardized suite of cost and schedule reports that enable senior management to make data driven decisions
  • Analysis and Tracking: Perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project cost and schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and communicate those quickly to key stakeholders
  • Risk Assessment: Work with key stakeholders to identify project risks and lead the cost and schedule contingency management process for assigned projects
  • Other work as needed in support of successful project delivery
  • Align Projects with Portfolio/Organization goals and objectives
  • Develop Company and Project standards, templates and work-breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Developing Risk Management Templates and Management plans
  • Project Budgeting and Forecasting Templates and Reporting
  • Optimizing Project Strategies to enable better outcomes for future Projects

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in Structured Cabling System, Data Center fitout including Equipment Rack and rPDU delivery, Power and Cooling Systems, and other related systems for typical Data Center operations
  • Project Management, including Planning/Scheduling, Cost Management, Contract Management, Change Management
  • Comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure and Project Coding Structures and ability to implement cost management work processes on projects
  • Comprehensive understanding of Data Center Technology Fitout Projects and Construction Methodologies
  • Comprehensive understanding of Risk Management
  • Demonstrated supplier management ability in construction project delivery
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability in cross-functional environments
  • BIM Software (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Freedom version 2024/25 and Autodesk AutoCAD 2018) working knowledge is a plus
  • Advanced MS Office Suite working knowledge
  • CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) or Equivalent Certifications
  • PMBOK / Project Management
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • ITIL v3/4 desirable
  • Fluent English and Mandarin
  • German preferable
